Waste and water management

El Gouna makes quite a fuss about recycling and water usage. In fact, El Gouna has two waste management plants, a water desalination plant, a fish farm that utilizes rejected water, and the water reverse osmosis scheme, which is basically a process that purifies water to reuse it and cut down on excessive water consumption. All of these facilities ensure that El Gouna is the most sustainable area in Egypt, not only in the Red Sea area. More importantly, through the above facilities, El Gouna is able to recycle its waste effectively and preserve one of the world’s most precious resources— water.
